 Recipes 4 Learning Transition Program
The Recipes 4 Learning Transition Program offers those with IDD/DD a two-year non-credited work transition program where they can gain job skills, social and daily living skills training with a focus on Career Development in the food industry. Part of the proceeds from the Transition Program help to offset the cost of our Recipes 4 Learning Educational Kits for grade school children. This enables us to sell more kits and provide much needed jobs for adults with DD/IDD. We utilize principles of reinforcement and positive behavior in order to increase the participants range of skills, social awareness, self-awareness, and confidence. Recipes 4 Learning is a 501(c)(3) certified nonprofit, our mission is to provide job skills training and employment opportunities for the differently-abled through kitchen and recipe-based business experiences. We offer a 2-year work transition program, produce and sell delicious, ready-to-eat cookies and other baking related products that help to bring awareness of the value and importance that those who are differently-abled can offer to our community.
Recipes 4 Learning works with area school districts and organizations for those interested in gaining work experience or as volunteers. We also partner with New York State businesses to open doors for the talented men and women at Recipes 4 Learning.
Recipes 4 Learning offers Fundraising programs to other organizations and non-profits through the sales of cookie kits, ready-made cookies or baking kits. Or, ask about Corporate Gifts for meaningful gifting anytime of year.
