The Recipes 4 Learning Transition Program offers those with autism and other Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Developmental Disabilities (DD) a two-year, non-credited transition program where they can gain job skills, social and daily living skills training. Part of the proceeds from the Transition Program help to offset the cost of our Recipes 4 Learning Educational Kits for grade school children. This enables us to sell more kits and provide much needed jobs for adults with DD/IDD.

Those with IDD/DD, 18+ and have completed high school can apply. Transition planning will be for 4 hours per week. Applicants after being interviewed and found eligible will begin the job skills training to meet the goals for success outlined below.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in a caring and engaging environment within the food industry. Participants can expect to be a part of production for a variety of baking related food and products, such as the Recipes 4 Learning Baking Educational Kits that we create for elementary schools to teach learning in a fun way. We also provide production services for local businesses.
